HDGUARD is reliably protected with a password of the user’s choice. Only authorised users can deactivate HDGUARD, to install new software permanently, for example.
HDGUARD comes with a mode that allows users to directly transfer newly installed software to the protected environment after a test phase. This mode can be activated only with the relevant password.
HDGUARD is a pure software solution (not a PC card or dongle) and can thus be seamlessly integrated in existing systems.
Depending on the operating system used, the software can be installed and configured for the entire local network from a central computer using HDGUARD.master.
Installations of Windows 2000, ME, 98, NT4 can be protected with HDGUARD 7 or HDGUARD 5. Licences for these legacy systems are still available.
